About the Developers Four Seasons Homes serves as general contractor for Avila, working in conjunction with the developer, the Lodge of Four Seasons. Four Seasons Homes does not have the typical history you'd expect from a home builder. While it's top staff totals nearly 200 combined years of experience, the company did not develop from a simple contract to build a house. Instead, Four Seasons Homes came into existence through Harold Koplar's dream to develop a vacation-lifestyle and communities at the Lake of the Ozarks - communities founded on strong values and quality. Over the years as Koplar's family and the Four Seasons Group developed the areas of Four Seasons and Porto Cima at the Lake, the need for a home builder with a sense of responsibility to the customer and community became obvious. Four Seasons developed their homes division as a service to the customers who had invested in lots: an option to choose a builder with stability, and credibility. Formal organization of Four Seasons Homes took place in 1998, but the company carries the strength and stability of the Four Seasons Group's more than 40 years of service to the Lake of the Ozarks. Nationally recognized Butler, Rosenbury & Partners serves as the project architects. The Springfield, Mo. firm was named the 31st top hospitality design firm in the nation by Hotel & Motel Management in December 2006 and is responsible for numerous hospitality development designs, including Hotel Contessa, Suites on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Florida's Coral Springs Marriott Hotel and the Exposition Center in Springfield, MO.
